Trusted Contact
Definition
A trusted contact is a person you added to your financial accounts as a point of contact for your financial institution. This person does not have access to your money or the ability to make transactions. Instead, they can be contacted by your financial institution if there are concerns about potential fraud, financial exploitation, or if the institution is unable to reach you.
Adding a trusted contact provides an extra layer of security for your accounts and can be especially helpful as you age or if you become incapacitated.
